Scholarship Programme

This is an Education Scholarship Scheme on merit – cum-means basis started in 2009. This is given exclusively for boarding students. Scheme provides 100% of all fees, books and uniforms for Boarders in Sandur Residential School for the children of needy citizens.

This is an Education Scholarship Scheme as part of SMIORE’s corporate social responsibility. This program was started in the year 2014 and approximately  about 150 fresh students benefited from this scholarship at any given point of time.

There are three types of Scholarship that can be applied for;

1.  50% concession of all fees for day scholars

2.  100% scholarship of day boarding fees (for children of people residing in Deogiri, Subbarayana Halli and Kammathuru villages). 

3.  100% of all fees that includes school fees, books and uniforms etc specifically for boarders.

 Eligibility for scholarship

1.  Children of needy persons residing in Kammathuru, Deogiri, Subbarayanahalli and from the surrounding villages of Sandur.

2.  Children of employees of SMIORE associate companies, Institutions and other related entities.

3.  Selection is based on Merit-cum-Means basis.

 Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Limited offers scholarship to employee’s children for 50% of the schooling fees at the school. They also offer Scholarship for boarders and scholarship for day boarders. This program was started in the year 2014 and has benefited thousands of  students so far.
